The Delfisch Concept

The name Delfisch is derrived from the Classic Greek language. It literally means "puzzling".

In this case we mean that Delfisch-ARt is puzzlingly beautiful.
It is puzzling how many shapes and colors the creations consist of. They are as abstract, as they are magically realistic. It is as if the creator takes us on an adventure in which the destination is unknown at the start and as if it is never defined. It leaves us puzzled, but not in an unpleasant manner. It is surprising but never tedious. In other words, the puzzle is one with a happy end.

The maker applies a method which many of us have experienced in our youth. She jokes about her art being “bricolage”. Even though the basic skills are cutting, tearing and gluing, we feel that she is understating the value of her art. It may seem simple to make a creation in this manner but the knowledgeable viewers will recognize her artistic talent with which she makes these wonderful compositions. Her artistic quality finds it foundation in her well developed sense of shape and color.In other words,
we feel that this is something that needs to be shared with a larger public.
